Position Title: MWD Coordinator Position Location: Calgary, Alberta (COE) Reports to: VP of Operations Position Overview The MWD Coordinator is responsible for ensuring overall MWD job performance and to ensure that each job has the necessary equipment to complete the job. They will work closely with the VP of Operations to maintain a high level of organization to ensure jobs run smoothly and client expectations are met. Responsibilities On-call coordinating duties to ensure jobs run smoothly with limited downtime; meetings/phone calls with MWD consultants to ensure procedures and rules are followed, checking MWD program files for accuracy and compliance to reduce operator error issues, and scheduling MWD consultant days worked and ensuring jobs are covered Regular field visits to ensure MWD Field Hands and following protocols and tool service interval schedules; 1 week per month minimum in the field, visiting each rig once every 2 months. Ensure MWD Field Hands are up to speed on Pacesetter procedures/PRIME Daily communication with the VP of Operations on Field Hand progress/attitude/feedback from the field Work with shop technicians to ensure kit inventory levels and kit requirements are met prior to jobs mobilizing Field testing of prototype tools First hand “on-site’ support with handling MWD failures/issues PRIME maintenance; correct and accurate data entry for current/upcoming job info/tools/transfers/failure reports Work with Senior Operations Analyst to ensure client gamma log requirements are met Conduct field/shop training for new consultants Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications 5+ Years MWD field experience Strong leadership skills to ensure Field Hands are performing optimally and following company procedures Proficient in gathering and consolidating information for administrative and technical reports Knowledge of supply management and travel logistics Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Additional Skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders Superior detail orientation; values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work Process thinker, with high degree of initiative and ability to work independently Exceptional time management and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong team player with a positive attitude; a willingness to do what is needed Strong presentation skills; ability to convey clear information Exceptional time management and organizational skills
