Working here provides opportunities to contribute to both established restaurants and new ventures. Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Whistler, BC. This role supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including guest service, staff supervision, and adherence to brand standards. Responsibilities include leading and coaching team members, managing shift schedules, and ensuring efficient front-of-house and back-of-house coordination. The Assistant General Manager helps monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and support cost controls to achieve financial targets. This role also contributes to local marketing initiatives, addresses guest feedback, and maintains a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for guests and team members. Qualifications Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including supervising teams and managing daily operations. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop diverse team members. Solid customer service and communication skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and resolving issues professionally. Basic financial and administrative skills, such as understanding budgets, labor costs, inventory, and reporting. Ability to work on-site in Whistler, BC, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations. Knowledge of food safety, health, and safety regulations, and commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant workplace. Previous experience in casual or premium dining environments is an asset; experience with branded chain restaurants is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality, business, or a related field is an asset.
