PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience. JOB SUMMARY The Utility Locates Coordinator will support construction activities by coordinating the identification and marking of underground utilities before fieldwork begins. The role manages locate requests, schedules, records, expiry dates, and required communications between project teams, subcontractors, locate service providers, and the GTAA. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain ownership of the Utility Locates Procedure and coordinate updates and revisions as required. Coordinate utility locate requests and field schedules with internal teams, subcontractors, and locate service providers. Maintain accurate locate records, documentation, tracking systems, and expiry information. Coordinate compliance communications with GTAA, including field notifications and locate report submissions. Coordinate the communication, follow-up, and escalation of locate-related issues between PACT, locate providers, and GTAA. Support with other duties as needed. WORKING CONDITIONS The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours. At times, operational needs may require work outside these hours, with reasonable notice provided. All schedule or on call adjustments will comply with applicable employment standards legislation. It is mandatory for all employees to complete a Criminal Background check and successfully attain a Restricted Access Identity Card (RAIC) upon joining the company. DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience in utilities coordination or investigations. Strong interest in supporting large infrastructure projects. Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with GTAA or other major airport procedures is considered an asset. Valid driver’s license and eligibility for RAIC clearance required.
