Summary PaperWorks is currently seeking a skilled Printing Feeder to work on a full-time, permanent basis out of our facility at 120 Trillium Drive in Kitchener, Ontario. We offer a competitive compensation package which includes health & dental benefits and disability benefits, as well as a group pension program. Starting hourly pay rate of $24.61, plus shift premiums and a discretionary bonus program. This job posting has one available position. Responsibilities The Printing Feeder is responsible for keeping the press running smoothly and assisting the Press Operator, while maintaining quality which meets our customer's specifications. The individual ensures conformance to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and general housekeeping standards. Meets or exceeds production, quality and efficiency requirements at all times. Verify customer specifications for each product using computer system. Follow and complete all work instructions for each job. Check quality continually ensuring standards are met or exceeded. Operate a walkie to transport product within and between departments. Feed the press in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain ink levels, dampening solution and all other supplies. Assist the Pressman with make readies and production. Perform wash-ups on the presses. Troubleshoot and maintain printing equipment as required. Responsible for knowing equipment lockout procedures. Record production data as required (paperwork and on computer system). Perform general housekeeping and other related duties as required. Has successfully completed the training program outlined in QF-204 within the first 6 months as a Printing Feeder level 1 Has demonstrated potential to progress to a Level 2 Printing Feeder Learning the job functions associated with one press Has previous experience or passed the mechanical aptitude testing with a grade of 30th percentile or higher Qualifications Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience feeding large-format, sheet-fed lithographic printing presses. Must be able to work a rotating continental shift schedule. Must possess strong English-language communication skills, both verbal and written. Must successfully pass a colourblindness test. All qualified candidates will be asked to complete a mechanical aptitude test.
