Water truck driver

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Driver's License (Class 3 or D). First Aid Certificate. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Steel-toed safety boots.
