Starting Rate: $64.66/hour The Opportunity: Working in the Refinery Maintenance Department as part of the Instrumentation Department, this role involves maintaining instrumentation and automation systems as well as installing, testing, and commissioning new instrumentation and associated equipment. Supporting Operations and Maintenance in sustaining safe and reliable operations, the successful candidate embraces positive change and is committed to help further advance our safety and reliability culture at the refinery. Responsibilities: Maintenance and calibration of process analyzers. Maintenance and calibration of continuous emission monitors (CEMS) in accordance with PG7. Maintenance and repair of flow, temperature, pressure, and level measurement devices. Maintenance and repair of process control valves and valve positioners. Troubleshooting and maintenance of refinery Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and Programable Logic Controllers (PLC). Installation, testing and commissioning of new instrumentation. Requirements: Demonstrated Commitment to Injury & Incident Free (IIF), Safety and Loss Prevention. Current & Up to date with Active Learner Training. Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5 Minimum). Industrial Instrumentation BCTQ, IP/Red Seal. A working knowledge of JDE, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work. Demonstrated Strong Teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated behaviors that support Parkland’s Diversity and Inclusion culture. Demonstrated ability to positively interact and communicate with personnel from all divisions and levels of the company including contractors and vendors. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. Perform effectively under conditions of a fluctuating workload with frequent changes and competing demands. Comfortable speaking in public forums such as team meetings, toolbox talks, start and end of shift meetings. Experience with the following systems is an asset: Diploma of Instrumentation Technology considered an asset. Troubleshooting of refinery equipment as related to the Instrumentation trade. Maintenance and calibration of process analyzers. Maintenance and calibration of continuous emission monitors in accordance with PG7. Maintenance and repair of flow, temperature and pressure measurement devices. Maintenance and repair of process control valves and valve positioners. Troubleshooting and maintenance of Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Programable Logic Controllers (PLC). Additional Information: Rate of pay: As per the Unifor agreement, plus 14% in lieu of benefits, vacation and paid holidays. The anticipated term will run until January 1st, 2027 Humble. Hungry.
