Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE The Health and Safety Manager will facilitate the implementation, rollout and overall management of facility-based safety management systems to ensure their successful implementation. In addition, partner with internal and external contractors to manage risk and enhance safety performance. This position provides strategic direction and operational oversight for hazard identification, risk assessment, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance while supporting leadership and field teams in maintaining safe work practices across all activities. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Champion a proactive safety culture through field engagement Ensure compliance with Ontario OHSA and regulations Oversee hazard identification and controls for high-risk work Manage contractor safety performance and compliance Lead incident investigations and corrective actions Support training and workforce engagement Conduct audits and drive continuous improvement Qualifications EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIRED Educational Requirements Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field CPO Approved Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR certifications GWO Certification (BST and ART) Required Work Experience 5+ years of HSE experience in renewable, construction, or industrial sectors Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Electrical Safety Requirements Experience with contractors and high-risk operations Strong safety science background Additional Requirements Must have advanced skills using Microsoft Office programs Excellent communication (written and oral) Analytical thinking Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to resolve conflict Problem solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously PATTERN ENERGY GROUP LP IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER#LI-JH1 #LI-Hybrid
