Responsibilities Job Purpose The position will lead and develop the team(s) to meet various obligations required for power generation at a Pattern Energy operating site. Key Accountabilities Support the Facility Manager in all areas of the Pattern operating Ensure a positive working environment by maintaining discipline, morale, and employee relations. Lead the use of maintenance documentation, reporting tools and performance systems necessary for reporting and performance improvement. Provide hands-on technical support and supervision for Wind generation equipment and power delivery systems, as well as with other facility civil work, building maintenance and upkeep. Enable teammates’ ability and awareness to work safely and stop work as Support driving the injury-free workplace culture by facilitating safe work habits, hazard recognition, risk assessment, peer to peer feedback, and proper use of human performance tools. Manage site specific and corporate procedures, policies, training programs, safety programs and work practices and related updates as required. Balance and support facility public relations and community Maintain regulatory compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations and associated permits. Ensure obligations are met using the CMMS. Qualifications Experience/Qualifications/Education Required Education Required Diploma degree in a technical, business related field or commensurate Electrical/Mechanical apprentice or Redseal Required Work Experience 5 years of relevant experience as a team leader in the wind industry. Relevant GE/Siemens experience is considered major asset. Troubleshooting background Team leadership BOP understanding or awareness Wind energy maintenance practices Data management Additional Requirements Must reside within (< 60 miles) of the facility’s O&M Ability to climb turbine tower (>250feet) Candidates must be willing and able to work with high workloads in stressful conditions and in physically demanding settings while maintaining professional, non - confrontational behavior and demonstrating the utmost ethical values. Examples include, but are not limited to, traveling, participation with climbing, harsh temperatures, extreme driving conditions, various 24/7 working hours, and supporting other business units and locations as needed. Must have general understanding of NERC and CIP The expected starting pay range for this role is $86,000 - $108,000 CAD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, employee assistance program, paid time off and bonding leave, paid holidays, 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contribution, and employee referral bonuses.
