Primary Responsibilities Prepare, review, and manage residential and/or commercial real estate files from open to close Draft and assemble legal documents, including transfer/deed documents, mortgages, discharges, and closing documentation Conduct and review title searches, off-title searches, and related due diligence materials Coordinate with clients, lenders, realtors, and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth real estate transactions Manage key closing deadlines and ensure all conditions are met prior to closing Prepare reporting letters, closing agendas, and final closing binders Requisition and review payouts, statements of adjustments, and trust accounting entries in accordance with firm procedures Enter and maintain accurate file data in legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, Teraview, etc.) Assist with trust transactions and ensure compliance with Law Society requirements Attend to post-closing matters, including registrations and file finalization Provide general administrative and clerical support to lawyers and senior clerks as required Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all real estate matters Qualifications Education: Post-secondary diploma in Legal Administration, Law Clerk, or a related field is preferred Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in residential and commercial purchase and sale transactions and financings Familiarity with Law Society compliance requirements is preferred Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software commonly used in law firms (e.g., Clio, Teraview, etc.) Skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Core Competencies: High attention to detail and accuracy in data processing Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to lead compliance efforts and follow up on discrepancies with tact and firmness Initiative to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies Ability to train and support staff with a foundational knowledge of accounting Position Details Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm or 9am – 5pm Location: Onsite at 1222 Lesperance Rd Tecumseh, ON N8N1X5 Lawyer: Justin Walsh **ONLY ONLINE APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED.
