<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><b><strong>Job Summary</strong></b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented <b><strong>Custom Cabinetmaker</strong></b> to join our team in North York. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, assembling, and occasionally installing high-quality custom cabinetry and architectural millwork for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has strong woodworking skills, can read shop drawings, and takes pride in producing precise, high-quality work.</p><p><b><strong>Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications.</li><li>Fabricate custom cabinets, vanities, closets, reception desks, wall units, and architectural millwork.</li><li>Measure, cut, machine, assemble, and finish wood, MDF, plywood, laminates, veneers, and solid wood components.</li><li>Operate woodworking equipment including panel saws, table saws, edge banders, CNC routers, jointers, planers, routers, drills, sanders, and other hand and power tools.</li><li>Install hardware including hinges, drawer slides, handles, and specialty hardware.</li><li>Perform quality inspections to ensure all products meet company standards and project specifications.</li><li>Work with laminates, veneers, melamine, and solid wood materials.</li><li>Complete cabinet assembly and prepare products for delivery or installation.</li><li>Assist with on-site installation when required.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.</li><li>Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Qualifications</strong></b></p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience as a Custom Cabinetmaker or Millworker.</li><li>Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production plans.</li><li>Experience operating woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.</li><li>Knowledge of cabinet construction methods, joinery techniques, and finishing materials.</li><li>Experience working with laminate, veneer, MDF, plywood, melamine, and hardwood.</li><li>High attention to detail and craftsmanship.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Good communication and time management skills.</li><li>Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></b></p><ul><li>Experience with CNC woodworking machinery.</li><li>Experience in both residential and commercial custom millwork.</li><li>Knowledge of cabinet installation procedures.</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues and recommend solutions.</li></ul><p><b><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></b></p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods.</li><li>Comfortable using hand and power tools throughout the workday.</li><li>Manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.</li></ul></div></div>
