Job Type: Regular, Full Time Department: Employee Communications Location: Mississauga, Ontario Are you an ambitious and highly motivated communications professional with experience in public affairs and stakeholder relations? As an Advisor - Communications within our Employee Communications Department, you will be responsible for the development of internal and external communications products. You will also conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts and the Strategic Communications team to shape and execute effective communication strategies. What will your typical day look like? Play a key role in developing, implementing, and evaluating the Employee Communications Strategy, including monitoring and reporting on communication effectiveness to drive continuous improvement. Partner with bureaus and leaders across the organization to develop, coordinate and deliver employee communications. Support leadership and executive communications, including Chief and Chief's Management Group. Draft clear, accurate and audience-focused messaging, leveraging a variety of communication channels to effectively reach employees across the organization. Stay current on emerging trends, best practices and technologies in employee communications. Performs additional duties as assigned. Enough about us, lets talk about you You are someone with: A Degree or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Government Relations, English or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience. A minimum of three (3) years experience in Journalism, Media & Public Relations, Government Relations or Communications. Advanced research, writing and editing skills. Demonstrated understanding and experience with various social media platforms, with ability to interpret analytics from social media platforms. Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 and other workflow/management software i.e. Monday.com, Hootsuite etc. Demonstrated organizational and project management skills. Demonstrated oral communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative environment to gather information from across the organization and generate communications. Ability to work independently and within a team. What we offer The salary range for these permanent, full-time positions is $65,331.00 to $102,470.00 per annum. Please note that these vacancies are newly budgeted positions. Peel Regional Police offer a highly competitive compensation package; applicants will be considered for the top end of the range ($77,290.00 - $102,470.00) based on experience. The salary is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid Health/Dental and Life Insurance; and the OMERS Pension Plan effective upon hire. These positions DOES NOT allow for regular remote working arrangements.
