Résumé du poste

NSL Winnipeg is a new professional club in the Northern Super League, Canada’s professional women’s soccer league. As the club prepares for launch, it is building the financial, operational, and administrative foundation needed to support a sustainable business and a strong experience for players, employees, partners, and fans. This is an opportunity to build the commercial foundation of a professional sports franchise from the ground up. The Vice President, Commercial will lead the club’s revenue strategy across corporate partnerships, ticketing, and retail, establishing the plans, relationships, and sales practices needed to support the club’s launch and long-term sustainability. Reporting to the Club President, the Vice President will carry the club’s overall revenue target and lead both strategy and execution. This is a hands-on builder’s role for an experienced sports business leader who can develop the commercial plan, personally open doors and close business, and build a team as the club grows. Position Overview: Lead the development and execution of the club’s commercial strategy across corporate partnerships, ticketing, premium and hospitality offerings, and retail. Own the club’s consolidated revenue target, developing annual commercial plans, budgets, forecasts, sales targets, and reporting in partnership with the Club President. Build and manage the corporate partnership pipeline, leading prospecting, proposals, negotiations, and the closing of multi-year agreements with regional and national organizations. Develop partnership opportunities that connect brands with the growth of women’s sport, the club’s community impact, and meaningful opportunities to engage with players, supporters, and the Winnipeg market. Develop and drive strategy and execution for season ticket memberships, group sales, premium and hospitality, and single-match revenue, while overseeing pricing, sales operations, and the conversion of supporters into long-term members. Work closely with Marketing to build demand, grow the club’s audience, support the matchday experience, and align ticketing, partnership, and retail strategies with the club’s brand. Grow merchandise revenue through in-venue, e-commerce, and community-based channels, contributing to assortment, pricing, licensing, and retail planning. Build, coach, and scale a commercial team while representing NSL Winnipeg with partners, business and community leaders, the League, and other key stakeholders. Ideal Qualifications and Experience: You bring at least five years of progressive revenue leadership experience within professional sport, media, live entertainment, or a related environment, including personal responsibility for achieving revenue targets. You bring established relationships and credibility within the Winnipeg and Manitoba business community, along with the ability to engage and close business with senior decision-makers. You have experience in at least one of the following: corporate partnerships, ticketing, memberships, premium sales, or retail, combined with the commercial judgment to lead across all revenue areas. You can manage the full sales process, from building a pipeline and developing proposals to negotiating agreements, closing business, and strengthening long-term partner relationships. You are comfortable creating structure within an early-stage organization, including setting targets, establishing sales processes, building forecasts, and introducing clear reporting practices. You understand how to position investment in women’s sport as a compelling business and community opportunity and can translate that value into strong commercial partnerships. You are a collaborative and hands-on leader who can work closely with the Club President, Marketing, soccer operations, League leadership, and external partners in a fast-moving environment. About NSL Winnipeg: The Northern Super League is building a new era for women’s soccer in Canada. As the country’s first professional women’s soccer league, the NSL was created to give Canadian players, fans, and communities a domestic platform that reflects the strength, ambition, and momentum of the women’s game. NSL Winnipeg will be a community-first sporting and entertainment organization committed to its players, supporters, partners, and the people of Winnipeg. The club is developing its brand, operating structure, leadership team, venue, and place within the local sports community as it prepares for launch. The VP, Commercial will play an important role in building the systems behind that vision. How to Apply: People First HR Services is accepting resumes on behalf of NSL Winnipeg.
