Platform Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with mandatory Netezza experience to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and AWS Cloud, with strong expertise in Netezza, ETL/ELT development, SQL, SSIS, and enterprise data platform modernization. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines and enterprise data platforms. Lead on-premises to AWS cloud migration initiatives with a strong Netezza background. Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using SSIS and similar tools. Implement and support AWS services including EMR, EC2, S3, Redshift, AWS Glue, and Airflow. Build and optimize SQL queries, data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines. Support real-time data processing using Kafka and Spark Streaming. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance and reliability. Collaborate with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable data solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Mandatory hands-on experience with Netezza. 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Platform Engineering. Strong experience with AWS services including EMR, EC2, S3, Redshift, AWS Glue, and Airflow. Hands-on experience with SQL, SSIS, ETL/ELT, and Data Warehousing. Experience with Unix/Linux, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Teradata. Knowledge of Kafka, Spark Streaming, Shell Scripting, and Python is a plus. Proven experience in enterprise data platform modernization and cloud migration projects.

Design and support scalable data pipelines and enterprise data platforms, focusing on on-premises to AWS cloud migration. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes and real-time data processing using Kafka and Spark Streaming.

Requires over 10 years of experience in Data or Platform Engineering with mandatory hands-on expertise in Netezza and AWS services. Candidates must be proficient in SQL, SSIS, and enterprise data platform modernization.
