Responsibilities Operate a tractor/trailer truck to make long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of our finished products. Check and assist in the unloading of the trailer. Fully inspect the vehicle prior to beginning the route to ensure proper and safe handling conditions. Collect all proper authorizations prior to beginning route. Maintain an accurate DOT log. Ensure safety and compliance of load. Regular and reliable attendance. Completing Quality/Food Safety training and adhering to the Food Safety Pre Requisite Programs (PRP/oPRP) that is required for your area. Delivery of product to Frito Lay facilities and external customers in Eastern Canada with single or Long Combination vehicles (LCV’s). Offloading trailers with hand carts or palletizing cases at destination (average case weight is 4 kgs). Travelling safely complying with Frito Lay Canada controls, Traffic Safety legislation, and Commercial Vehicle regulations. Be customer focused and be a team player. Qualifications Valid Class 1 Driver’s License. 4 years Class 1 driving experience. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Able to maintain professional disposition even when faced with difficult situations. Able to complete routes safely in varied driving conditions.
