We are Permasteelisa Group – the leading international façade specialist that has been shaping city skylines worldwide for generations. Join our Sales and Business Development team as a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying potential opportunities, substantiating leads, writing and preparing project proposals and closing sales. This position and reports to the Senior Director, Business Development and Sales. Territory: Canada. Responsibilities Responsible for; identifying potential opportunities, the sale of a business’ products and service in the Canada. Additional responsibilities including generating leads and sales of Permasteelisa NA Benson. Collaborating with senior leadership team to establish and execute annual forecasting sales goals for the region to maximize sales revenue and develop specific sales plans to ensure growth both long and short-term. Writing and preparing project proposals in response to general contractor Request for Proposals. Reading and interpreting architectural drawings to determine project scope of work. Develop and maintain relationships with key architects, general contractors, and owners for both major and glass division projects though personal visits, attending industry conferences and networking events. Work with Senior Director of Pre-Construction to coordinate budgeting and bidding on projects. Review all plans, specifications, and contract requirements for selected projects, prior to the submittal of budgets or proposals. Actively pursue bids with customers to ascertain potential, award, next steps, and general market information. Assertively grow established territory. Participate in follow up meetings with the contractor/owner and kick-off meeting with personnel to provide a clear and accurate outline of our subcontract obligations as well as providing documentation to operations team assigned to project. Actively participate in the team to review of the final subcontract agreement, prior to signing, to ensure subcontract agreement matches the commitments outlined in proposal and any subsequent agreements. Maintain highly organized records and meet required closing date on multiple projects through effective time management. Performs additional assignments per the Manager’s direction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5 - 7 years' industry related sales and business development experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies Focused and goal-oriented Must have strong writing, technical and organizational skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to deal with customers. Organizational skills, follow-up, and efficiency skills required. Ability to work with a variety of personalities, remaining flexible and solution oriented. French speaking, preferred. There is travel required for this position. Up to 50%.
