automotive service technician apprentice

*Petawawa Kia* is looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is mechanically inclined and enjoys working on cars. *Job Description* * Diagnose and repair automotive problems * Inspect vehicle for mechanical repairs and safety issues * Maintain a clean and organized work space * Perform routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, cleaning etc.)on vehicles under your direction. * Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts when needed * Provide customer service on occasions (when needed) * Keep work area clean and organized at all times * Other duties as assigned (e.g. repair shop duties, transporting vehicles, etc.) *Education & Experience* * High school diploma or GED required * 2+ years of mechanical experience in an automotive service environment required * Basic computer skills required * Valid driver?s license required Physical Demands: The following physical demands are representative of the job Req'd: The following physical demands of this job are representative of the work you will do: This job requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching overhead, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, climbing and standing for long periods of time.
