Overview: We are seeking a strategic, results-driven professional to join our Supply Chain organization in a temporary JR Contracts Advisor role focused on material and/or service contracting. As a subject matter expert, you will negotiate and manage the lifecycle of contracts and build strong relationships with the business and suppliers to deliver measurable cost, risk, and efficiency improvements. Minimum Requirements: 1 year of related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Proven track record in cost optimization, cost modeling, and total cost‑of‑ownership analysis Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills Understanding of cost drivers, contracting models, and risk management in complex service markets Experienced in SAP, Ariba and spend analytics tools, with the ability to support sourcing and cost optimization initiatives D Responsibilities: Work with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into sourcing and category strategies that align with asset plans and corporate objectives, with a strong focus on cost efficiency, total cost of ownership, and value optimization Identify cost‑reduction opportunities through market analysis, supplier collaboration, demand management and monitoring of category spend Apply data‑driven insights to challenge specifications, service delivery models, and commercial structures to achieve sustainable cost savings Lead sourcing‑to‑contract events for complex services, ensuring commercial outcomes balance cost efficiency, performance, and risk mitigation Design innovative commercial models and negotiation strategies that drive competitive advantage and cost reduction Manage contract planning, contract strategy development, sourcing and negotiation activities through to contract formation and approval and claims / warranty management activities Location and other Key details: This is an office based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office. Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday This is a temporary position for a period of 3 months
