Queensville Pharmacy has a current opportunity for a pharmacist to work part-time. Our location is a growing community pharmacy serving Queensville, East Gwillimbury, and surrounding areas. We are focused on building strong, long-term relationships with our patients, expanding pharmacist-led clinical services, and becoming an active part of the local community. Queensville offers a welcoming small-community setting while remaining within easy reach of Newmarket and the surrounding York Region. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys patient-centred care, community involvement, and helping shape the growth of a developing pharmacy. What This Role Offers A predictable regular schedule, meaningful professional autonomy, direct collaboration with pharmacy ownership, structured onboarding, and the opportunity to help shape a growing community pharmacy. Long-Term Opportunity As Queensville Pharmacy grows, additional hours may become available, with potential for the position to develop into a full-time role and, for the right pharmacist, potentially a future Designated Manager position. Progression will depend on business needs, performance, and mutual fit. Patient Care and Professional Practice Provide safe and accurate dispensing, clinical review, counselling, and documentation Perform minor ailment assessments and prescribing Provide injections and vaccinations Complete renewals, adaptations, and other appropriate professional pharmacy services Identify and resolve drug therapy problems and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers Pharmacy Operations Independently manage the pharmacy workflow throughout the shift Complete opening and closing procedures Manage prescription ordering, receiving, inventory, and backorders Troubleshoot third-party adjudication, billing issues, and rejected claims Support front-shop and other day-to-day pharmacy operational needs Follow pharmacy SOPs and all applicable professional and regulatory requirements Clinical Programs Participate in current and future pharmacy clinical programs and professional service initiatives Complete required Janssen Journey training before independently supporting Spravato services Community Engagement and Pharmacy Growth Build strong relationships with patients and community partners Help build awareness and appropriate use of pharmacy and clinical services Participate in community outreach, local events, educational initiatives, and pharmacy marketing activities Contribute practical ideas that improve patient experience, workflow, professional services, and the pharmacy’s presence in the community Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists Minimum 1 year of community pharmacy experience Minimum 1 year of hands-on paperless Kroll experience, with independent proficiency in dispensing workflow, third-party adjudication, and billing troubleshooting Experience with minor ailment assessment and prescribing Comfortable with renewals, adaptations, and expanded-scope pharmacy practice Authorized to administer injections and immunizations in Ontario Strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and patient-safety awareness Comfortable independently managing a community pharmacy shift Comfortable with technology and adapting to evolving workflows Reliable and available for the regular Monday, Thursday, and alternating Saturday schedule Part-time, permanent (approximately 21 hrs/wk) $55–$60/hour, based on experience Current PT Pharmacist Schedule Monday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Alternating Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. With over 900+ stores across the country, Pharmasave is one of Canada’s leading independent pharmacy and drugstore retailers.
