Join our team and play a hands-on role in maintaining, renovating, and improving residential communities that residents are proud to call home. As a Renovations/Maintenance Technician, you'll complete suite turnovers, renovations, repairs, and preventative maintenance across a portfolio of residential properties. From carpentry and drywall to painting, flooring, plumbing, and electrical repairs, you'll put your diverse skill set to work while providing exceptional service to residents. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs in residential suites, common areas, and building systems. Complete suite turnovers, renovations, and general repairs to maintain move-in ready standards. Respond promptly to resident service requests and deliver excellent customer service. Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, minor plumbing, and basic electrical repairs. Diagnose maintenance issues and implement effective solutions. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including grounds maintenance and snow removal. Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation. Maintain accurate work order and maintenance records. Travel between assigned properties as required. Crucial Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of residential maintenance, renovations, and repair practices. Proficiency in carpentry, drywall repair, painting, flooring, minor plumbing, and basic electrical work. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently. Working knowledge of building mechanical, fire safety, and related building systems. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Excellent communication and customer service skills with resident-focused approach. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labour. Reliable, adaptable, and available for on-call and emergency response duties. Education & Experience Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in residential maintenance, renovation, construction, or a related trade. Demonstrated experience with carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general building maintenance. Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Must supply and maintain personal hands tools and a work vehicle. Experience in residential, multi-residential, or property management environments is preferred. Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to successfully complete a criminal background check. Additional Details Competitive Salary Range: $45,000-65,000 Work Arrangement: Fully on-site, 5 days a week at our Nova Scotia location - 800 Windmill Road.
