Grand Harbour Marina is looking for a reliable, skilled, and hardworking Maintenance Technician to help keep our marina, buildings, grounds, and facilities operating at their very best. Primary Responsibilities As a Maintenance Technician, you will: Perform general building and property maintenance Complete repairs to marina facilities, docks, buildings, and equipment Perform preventative maintenance on marina infrastructure Operate power tools and a variety of hand tools safely and effectively Assist with carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs Install and repair fixtures, hardware, fencing, and signage Maintain walkways, landscaping, and outdoor common areas Assist with seasonal opening and closing of marina facilities Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally Maintain a clean and organized workshop and work areas Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and members Assist with decommissioning and spring splash of boats Hauling Boats in Yard Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: ✔ Previous maintenance or construction experience ✔ Intermediate skills using power tools and hand tools ✔ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities ✔ Ability to safely lift 50 lbs (23 kg) or more ✔ Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions ✔ Excellent organizational and time management skills ✔ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision ✔ Positive attitude and strong work ethic ✔ Excellent communication and customer service skills ✔ Valid Ontario Driver's Licence (preferred) ✔ Ability to operate small equipment such as lawn tractors, chainsaw, pressure washers, generators, pumps, and other maintenance equipment is considered an asset ✔ Forklift, skid steer, telehandler, or marine equipment experience is considered an asset ✔ Own basic hand tools required We're Looking For Someone Who Is Dependable and punctual Safety-conscious Self-motivated Detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment A team player who is willing to assist other departments when needed Additional Duties May Include As part of the Grand Harbour team, you may occasionally assist with: Dock operations Fuel dock support Marina events and setup Snow removal and seasonal property maintenance General housekeeping and property appearance Other duties as assigned What We Offer ⚓ Full-Time, Year-Round Employment ⚓ Competitive Compensation ⚓ Beautiful Waterfront Work Environment ⚓ Diverse and Rewarding Work ⚓ Opportunities for Growth & Advancement ⚓ Supportive Team Culture ⚓ Employee Discounts Apply Today!
