Compensation $48.90/hour Position Summary Reporting to the Signal Superintendent or Foreman, the Signalman performs all necessary installations, inspections, tests, and maintenance as required. Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties Perform general labor tasks as necessary Assist in groundwork installations, wiring & testing Maintain tools and equipment in ready-for-service condition Perform all periodic inspection and tests as per railway and RailWorks standards Comply with railway and RailWorks safe work practices and signal work procedures Perform all administrative duties related to proper documentation as per RailWorks Quality Management System Required Skills and Qualifications Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent Three (3) years of recent related experience. Railway or construction experience would be an asset Previous electronics training would be an asset Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work is outdoors in all weather conditions Exposure to live track/trains and high voltage Work is safety sensitive and protective equipment is required Travel to work sites is required.
