Empowering Rural Youth for Climate Action: PODA’s Role in Shaping a Resilient Future

Building on the momentum of the Regional Conference of Youth (RCOY) in the Asia-Pacific, PODA is empowering rural youth to drive grassroots climate action through capacity-building training and networking! Recently, Mr. Hamza, a dedicated rural youth representative from PODA, represented Pakistan at the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) in Sri Lanka, joining youth leaders from 11 countries to discuss climate challenges, and the role of youth and advocate for stronger policies. Together, we’re working towards a climate-resilient future where youth voices shape inclusive and intersectional policies at local, national, and international levels. The conference outcomes will be shared with YOUNGO and UNFCCC, amplifying youth advocacy at COY and COP29.
