As we look toward an exciting future that includes significant improvements to our golf course and property, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Horticulturist to help shape and maintain the beauty of our Club. *The Opportunity:* The Horticulturist plays a key role in creating the beautiful, distinctive landscape and atmosphere experienced by members and guests throughout the Club. This position oversees the planning, development, maintenance, and presentation of gardens, ornamental plantings, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas across the property. As a key member of the Course & Grounds Management Team, the ideal candidate will bring a strong eye for detail, pride in their work, and a passion for creating exceptional outdoor spaces that enhance the overall member experience. *Responsibilities:* * Plan, plant, maintain, and enhance gardens, flower beds, perennial borders, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas throughout the Club property. * Maintain high-visibility areas, including clubhouse entrances, patios, event spaces, member areas, and other key locations to the highest presentation standards. * Care for all interior plants throughout the Clubhouse, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aligned with the Club's aesthetic standards. * Perform seasonal pruning, shaping, planting, and ongoing plant health care for trees, shrubs, hedges, and ornamental plantings. * Select plants and materials based on site conditions, aesthetics, seasonality, and long-term maintenance requirements. * Develop annual horticulture management plans, including plans for naturalized areas, and manage the related maintenance budget. * Source and order plants, soil, mulch, fertilizers, tools, and other supplies while managing inventory, costs, and waste. * Train, supervise, and provide direction to seasonal horticultural staff and grounds team members as required. * Collaborate with the Course & Grounds leadership team to coordinate horticultural activities with golf course maintenance and overall property operations. * Prepare the property for tournaments, special events, and other key Club occasions, ensuring high-visibility areas are presented to an exceptional standard. * Promote the safe use of equipment, machinery, tools, and materials and assist with other Course & Grounds tasks as needed throughout the season. *Qualifications:* * 3+ years of professional horticulture or landscape maintenance experience, ideally in a high-end commercial, private club, resort, or similar environment. * Diploma or certificate in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field is considered an asset. * Strong knowledge of plant identification, seasonal care, pruning, planting, irrigation, and landscape maintenance. * A passion for horticulture and a genuine pride in creating beautiful, well-maintained spaces. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work across a large property. * Experience leading, training, or mentoring team members is an asset. * The ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities and seasonal demands. * A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate horticultural equipment and machinery. *Our?Benefits:* As a valued member of our team, you will have access to services and benefits that help you get the most out of work and life.
