Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba Employment type: Full time, permanent Work arrangement: On site About PolySense Solutions PolySense Solutions provides monitoring and asset management technology for hospitals, biotechnology companies, life sciences organizations, and other critical operating environments. Our platform helps customers monitor and manage high value equipment, environmental conditions, maintenance activities, calibration schedules, equipment records, and other operational requirements. Our connected sensors and software give customers real time visibility into the equipment and environments that are essential to their operations. We are looking for a Production and Operations Technician to support the manufacturing, testing, and delivery of our sensor products from our Winnipeg facility. The Position This is a hands on role involving sensor assembly, product testing, quality control, inventory management, shipping, and general production support. You will help ensure our products are assembled correctly, tested thoroughly, packaged professionally, and shipped on schedule. You will also help maintain accurate inventory records and a clean, organized production environment. Because our products are used in hospitals, laboratories, biotechnology facilities, and other critical environments, consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities • Assemble sensors, cables, and related hardware according to documented procedures • Perform functional testing and quality inspections on completed products • Record test results and identify products that do not meet requirements • Prepare, package, label, and organize customer orders for shipment • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition • Monitor inventory levels and place approved orders with suppliers • Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records • Organize components, tools, production materials, and completed products • Maintain a clean and organized production and laboratory workspace • Follow established production and quality procedures • Assist with documenting and improving assembly, testing, and inventory processes • Coordinate with the engineering and operations teams to meet production and delivery requirements Qualifications • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently • Comfortable performing precise, hands on work with small components • Able to follow written assembly, testing, and quality procedures • Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and inventory systems • Able to manage routine responsibilities while responding to changing production priorities • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Able to lift and move boxes and equipment associated with normal production and shipping activities Relevant Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: • Electronics or sensor assembly • Manufacturing or production • Laboratory operations • Medical device, biotechnology, or life sciences environments • Quality control or product testing • Shipping and receiving • Purchasing and inventory management • Working with small tools, wiring, connectors, or soldering equipment Relevant practical experience, technical aptitude, reliability, and attention to detail are more important than a specific educational background.
