Pomerleau is proud to be leading the construction of the new healthcare facility as part of the WAHA Redevelopment Project, a $1.8B transformative initiative in Moosonee, Ontario that will enhance access to healthcare services for the surrounding communities. As a Quality Coordinator working in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the integrity, safety and precision of our job sites. You are responsible for implementing and monitoring the quality management system directly on site and act as an interface between project management, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure that the work complies with standards, contractual specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to meticulously assess every aspect of our project, from workmanship to materials, contributing to the successful delivery of exceptional results that exceed project expectations. This position follows a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation and operates on a fly in fly out schedule. What you will do Be at the forefront of our commitment to excellence, conducting meticulous inspections of sites, materials, and installations to ensure strict compliance with our project specifications, building codes, and industry standards. You are the champion of quality assurance and take ownership of monitoring and evaluating construction processes, materials and workmanship. Your keen eye for detail is your north star. Become a key player in our document control process, creating detailed reports that outline findings, deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective measures. Client satisfaction is high on your priority list. You work hard to build positive relationships with external clients and internal site teams, supporting the facilitation of inspections, visits, and project updates. As a mentor and trainer, you will provide invaluable guidance to our on-site teams, sharing your expertise on quality standards, best practices and compliance requirements. Your support will empower our teams to deliver the best work, every time. Collaboration is the name of your game! You will have the opportunity to so coordinate materials testing and analysis and work closely with 3rd party agencies to ensure the highest standards. This role could be for you if you have 2-3 years of experience working as a Quality Inspector in the construction industry, ideally on large scale infrastructure projects. Great understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes/materials. A passion for document management, detailed reporting and organized information. A strong mind but also the physical ability to conduct on-site inspections. The ability to obtain a security level clearance with the Government of Canada.
