Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest's impression of quality service throughout our hotel. From providing an efficient and friendly service to setting the stage for a personable dining experience, you will maximize food & beverage revenue while creating a lasting impression on our guests. Key Focuses Maintains a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor during all guest encounters and responds appropriately to guest requests and complaints. Ensures the restaurant, public areas, server, service stations, and storage areas are “picture perfect” for optimal first impressions. Understands that effective and cohesive communication between departments is vital to the operation. Welcomes and seats guests entering the restaurant in a prompt and courteous manner. Creates and maintains the flow of guests into the restaurant to ensure our culinary team and servers can deliver exceptional service. Maintains an organized reservation system and keeps track of table availability and wait times. Develops excellent product knowledge about the menu and feature items and can answer any inquiry. Maintains accuracy and attention to detail when taking and delivering guest orders. Adheres to all regulations governing the service of food and alcohol. Protects self, co-workers, and guests against safety hazards; reports immediately to the supervisor on duty. One member’s success is the success of all in our family. Experience/Passions/Education Previous experience in a hotel position is an asset. Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and organize, produce accurate work and guest service Excellent listening and comprehension skills required Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations ProServe certification required Working Conditions This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests, team members, and other stakeholders. Due to 365-day-a-year operations, this position will require you work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays and may involve extended hours during periods of high business demand. A portion of the role is performed outdoors in the fresh mountain air, with exposure to a wide range of weather conditions, including temperatures from -30°C to +30°C. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, as well as occasional use of ladders, stairs, or ramps. The employee must be able to lift up to 30 lbs as required.
