Résumé du poste
About the role Project North PES is Pangeo's new aluminum die casting and machining plant in Vaughan, Ontario. As Logistics Coordinator, you turn customer demand, internal capacity, and inventory status into executable production plans, and you keep material moving end to end — from supplier and inbound logistics through production to on-time shipment and customer delivery. This is a coordination-heavy role at the hub of the plant's material, production, and logistics flow. You'll set and adjust the schedule, issue internal and supplier orders, coordinate transportation, customs clearance, and warehouse activity, act as a direct point of contact for customers on order status, and report clearly on plan attainment, delivery, and fulfillment. It suits someone highly organized and data-minded who coordinates well across teams and partners under time pressure. Responsibilities Capacity evaluation and production planning Regularly evaluate internal capacity and inventory, and combine them with customer order demand to schedule, adjust, and issue internal production plans that meet customer delivery and internal inventory targets. Develop production plans and production orders and coordinate execution with the production team. Conduct capacity/load analysis and adjust production plans accordingly. Apply lean scheduling to optimize floor sequencing and minimize waste. Internal coordination and scheduling Issue internal production instructions and coordinate scheduling and handoffs across processes and work cells. Handle production exceptions promptly to keep the plan on track. Organize and lead production coordination meetings and weekly review meetings. Supplier material ordering and tracking Issue bulk material purchase orders to suppliers based on delivery terms and production requirements, and track and follow up on order status. Maintain material availability for volume production without excess inventory accumulation. Transportation and customs coordination Coordinate inbound and outbound ocean, air, and ground transportation, and arrange delivery appointments and shipment schedules. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and overseas suppliers on shipment status and customs clearance. Ensure customs documentation is accurate and complete, and that empty containers are returned before free-time deadlines to avoid detention and demurrage charges. Track inbound and outbound shipments, proactively resolve transportation delays, and monitor carrier performance and freight cost. Warehouse, order fulfillment, and customer coordination Coordinate daily inbound and outbound warehouse activity and review shipping documentation (packing lists, bills of lading, inventory reports). Manage daily customer orders and shipping schedules, coordinating with the warehouse to keep the customer order fulfillment rate at 100%. Act as a direct point of contact for customers on order status, shipment schedules, and exceptions. Monitor inventory levels, coordinate cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy. Data analysis and reporting Compile and analyze plan-attainment, delivery, and inventory data on a timely basis, and report the statistics. Track anomalies and corrective actions through to resolution. Support continuous improvement with data-driven recommendations on scheduling efficiency. What we're looking for Planning discipline. You balance demand, capacity, and inventory into a workable schedule. Coordination. You keep processes, suppliers, carriers, and brokers aligned and handoffs clean. Customer and partner focus. You keep customers informed and orders fulfilled on time. Responsiveness. You catch and resolve exceptions before they hit delivery. Data sense. You turn plan and delivery data into clear reporting and action. Detail and improvement mindset. You keep things accurate and always look to tighten the flow. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in production planning or logistics, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. Experience with a multinational or foreign-invested manufacturer an asset. Experience coordinating international shipments, customs clearance, and transportation providers an asset; warehouse/distribution exposure an asset. Microsoft 365 proficiency, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups); SAP or other ERP and WMS/TMS familiarity an asset. Working knowledge of IATF 16949 an asset. Awareness of ISO 14001 environmental management an asset. English required, Mandarin an asset.
