Position Summary Experienced machine operator required to build and maintain mountain bike trails using mini excavators and other heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has previous experience constructing mountain bike trails with machinery and understands sustainable trail building practices. Responsibilities · Operate mini excavators; skid steer/loader experience an asset · Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance · Build new trails and maintain existing trail networks · Shape berms, grade tread, and construct trail features · Lead and support ground crew members · Assist with bridge and wood feature construction · Maintain clean, organized worksites and equipment · Follow all safety procedures Requirements · Proven experience building mountain bike trails with machinery · Minimum 1 year experience as a machine operator (preferred) · Understanding of drainage and sustainable trail design · Ability to work in rugged outdoor terrain · Leadership experience preferred · Physically fit and safety-focused · Valid, clean BC Class 5 Driver’s License · Chainsaw experience is an asset · Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Vernon, BC before starting work Wage- $23.00-$28.00 / hour 40hr/ week At SilverStar, we intend to Play Forever.
