Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE), the Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of products or services within an organization. They develop and implement quality control procedures, monitor production processes, and conduct audits to identify areas for improvement. They also collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, provide training to employees on quality standards, and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for process enhancements. The Quality Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards and customer satisfaction. Essential Responsibilities * Develop, schedule, and implement inspection department training. * Schedule and record department safety meetings. * Schedule and assign jobs to inspection crews. * Supervise inspection department. * Schedule Customer Inspections. * Interface with manufacturing, engineering, sales, customers, and shipping. * Attend production meetings. * Attend Sales/Operations meetings for long term planning on work load. * Attend pre-inspection meetings with sales and customers. * Evaluate all inspection department personnel. * Maintain adherence to company policies and safety rules. * Interview and test inspector candidates. * Ensure all test equipment is either maintained or calibrated as necessary and records are kept as required. Minimum Qualifications * Associate degree in a Technical field required * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industrial electrical field preferred. * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership/supervisor role required. * Knowledge of IEEE standards for Circuit Breakers, Switchgear, Switches, and Transformers preferred. * National Electric Code knowledge preferred. * Basic understanding of power system and relay applications preferred. Work Authorization: This is a permanent position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire. Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements * Ability to write Operating Procedures and Work Instructions as required. * Ability to answer technical questions from manufacturing, inspectors, and customers. * Ability to interact on a regular basis with manufacturing, inspection, engineering, sales, and shipping personnel. * Ability to apply product knowledge and technical skills to aid in problem solving with inspectors independently with minimum supervision. * Ability to improve and drive organizational change. * Must have basic computer skills using Word, Excel and Access.
