Powerex Corp. has one open posting for our Rotational Analyst Program starting January 2027, with one or more additional postings starting Spring 2027. This program is designed for bright, highly analytical individuals who excelled in their high school and post-secondary education, and who are about to graduate University or have very recently graduated. If you are a self-starter who is passionate about energy and you have excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, this may be an opportunity for you. Powerex intends for Rotational Analysts to convert to a permanent role in our Front Office following successful completion of the program. You will actively support a number of teams throughout the rotational program. This will give you exposure to many aspects of our business including: Deal sourcing and assessment. Risk management; including financial analysis, research, and modeling Market Policy and Compliance Portfolio management; including monthly updating of financial models and providing support to management teams Power Scheduling and Transmission Optimization Realtime Trading (24/7/365) The Rotational Analyst role is varied as it supports numerous teams throughout Powerex. Other qualifications/experience include: Required Attributes/ Qualities Naturally high analytical aptitude (e.g. top 5-10% in high school in Calculus/Physics with minimal effort) Ability to think critically, with the capacity to multi-task in a high-pressure environment Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint Self-aware, humble, and intellectually curious Adaptable to rapidly changing constraints, with quick-thinking and decision-making abilities and an innate sense of urgency Energized by learning new things and engaging across a wide range of issues Logical Thinker Someone who recognizes each person plays a role in the success of a team Competitive as a team member, but not in competition within the team Highly organized, detail-oriented, resilient, and determined Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication, and negotiation skills Demonstrated leadership qualities Required University level courses including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, and some Finance courses Preferred Attributes/ Qualities Financial modelling Tableau knowledge Advance Placement level courses in High School or equivalent (Calculus, Physics, Statistics and Economics) Currently registered to achieve your CFA designation or completed part or all of the CFA levels For more information on Powerex and why we believe we are a great company to work for, have a look at our website powerex.com If you feel up to the challenge, and want to experience the energy and achieve the extraordinary, we would love to hear from you.
