EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT MORRIN SCHOOL Competition #PLSD-2556 This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. July 15, 2026 as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to provide classroom support in an inclusive learning environment. Working collaboratively with the classroom teacher and other professionals, the successful candidate will help create a supportive, engaging, and student-centered environment that promotes learning, independence, and overall development. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are essential. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational experience of students requiring additional support. This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) temporary position commencing on the first day of the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will be scheduled to work 15 hours per week. Responsibilities may include providing personal care and supporting students with educational, social, behavioral, communication, and physical needs throughout the school day. Preference will be given to applicants with post-secondary training in Special Education, Educational Assistant studies, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and developmental disabilities is considered an asset.
