ABOUT THE JOB: The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading production employees in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role supports daily production performance, ensures safe work practices, maintains quality standards, coaches employees, and drives continuous improvement across the assigned shift. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can build accountability, resolve issues quickly, and support a high-performing production team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise and lead 15-20 employees across the assigned shift, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and products through the facility while managing daily operational priorities. * Proactively identify and resolve issues that could negatively impact production through effective problem-solving. * Achieve desired production performance results across all KPIs, including tracking and ownership of improvement for key KPI’s. * Identify and lead initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency. * Enforce compliance with all safety rules, plant procedures, and GMP policies. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to coordinate operations and ensure employees understand organizational goals and direction. * Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, yield, delivery, productivity, and cost control. * Build positive working relationships and promote high employee morale. * Conduct performance reviews to communicate expectations, evaluate performance, and identify development opportunities. * Model Pretium’s values and behaviours by promoting a culture of communication, trust, respect, accountability, and a passion for excellence. * Exercise authority to stop processes when necessary to address safety, quality, or environmental concerns, and promptly report non-compliance to leadership. * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * Post-secondary education in business, engineering, operations, or a related field is preferred but not required * 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing facility * Strong people leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and coach a diverse team * Proficiency of Microsoft Office and production/ERP systems; experience with IQMS or similar systems is an asset * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills * Flexibility to work a full-time rotation shift schedule, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends as scheduled NICE TO HAVE * Experience with plastics blow molding operations, including injection of preforms, 2-Stage, EBM, ISBM, and IBM, preferred but not required * Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Processes (LEAN/Six Sigma certificate is a plus) * Experience with IQMS or similar systems is an asset WORKING CONDITION * Industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and chemicals. * Adherence to all safety protocols, including PPE and GMP attire in food-contact production areas, is mandatory. * Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
