Résumé du poste
Senior Account Manager, Earth & Environment Senior commercial ownership of client relationships in the Earth & Environment sector Location: Toronto, ON & Calgary, AB About the opportunity PRI is seeking a Senior Account Manager to own and grow client relationships in our Earth & Environment sector, based in Toronto. This is a senior commercial role for an experienced relationship-builder who thrives on winning and growing environmental and earth-sciences work, and who is ready to carry significant accounts with real autonomy in the Ontario market. As Senior Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of the sector's important client relationships, lead pursuits, and grow revenue across your accounts. You will be backed by strong technical practices in environmental assessment, natural sciences, hydrotechnical, geotechnical, and related disciplines, so you can focus your energy on clients, relationships, and growth. This is a senior seat on the commercial team, a step below the Sector Vice President and a natural path toward it, with the opportunity to mentor Account Managers along the way. PRI's Earth & Environment sector serves developers, public agencies and municipalities, infrastructure and industrial owners, and proponents navigating environmental approvals across Ontario. The work spans environmental assessment and permitting, contaminated sites and site remediation, environmental compliance and monitoring, and the earth-sciences support that development and infrastructure projects rely on, within Ontario provincial (MECP) and federal regulatory frameworks. How this role works at PRI PRI operates through a matrix of commercial sectors and technical practices. Sector Vice Presidents own the commercial success of each sector, and Account Managers own and grow client portfolios within it. As a Senior Account Manager, you sit at the senior end of that commercial track: you own significant client relationships and pursuits with real autonomy, you help grow the sector, and you mentor Account Managers, while the technical Practice Leads own the quality and delivery of the work. This lets you focus on clients, relationships, and growth, backed by strong technical teams. The Senior Account Manager is a step below the Sector Vice President and a natural path toward it. What you'll own Client relationships and portfolio • Own, manage, and grow a portfolio of significant client relationships in the earth and environment sector, including some of the sector's larger and more strategic accounts. • Serve as a senior, trusted point of contact for your clients, delivering responsive, solutions-oriented service that generates repeat work. • Deepen and expand existing relationships, growing revenue within your accounts over time. • Develop new client relationships and open new accounts that fit the sector's strategy. Business development and pursuits • Lead and win pursuits within your portfolio, setting win strategy and pricing in coordination with the Sector VP and Proposal team. • Manage pursuits across both private development-driven work and public-sector procurement, from proponent and owner relationships to competitive proposals and regulatory-driven engagements. • Identify and qualify new opportunities, and contribute to the sector's pipeline and growth targets. • Represent PRI at industry events and with developers, public agencies, and industrial owners, building the firm's profile in the earth and environment market. • Maintain commercial and pricing discipline, protecting margin across the work you bring in. Collaboration and mentorship • Work closely with technical Practice Leads and project teams to scope, price, and deliver work to the firm's quality standards. • Partner with the Sector VP on account strategy, sector planning, and major pursuits. • Mentor and support Account Managers, sharing commercial craft and helping develop the next generation of client-facing talent. • Coordinate with peer Account Managers and other sectors on cross-sector opportunities, referring and sharing relationships generously. • Support the firm's Indigenous partnerships where relevant to your accounts, in coordination with the firm's Indigenous Partnerships function. Environmental work frequently involves First Nations as proponents, partners, and consultation parties. Who we're looking for We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded relationship-builder with a track record of winning and growing work in the earth and environment market. You are energized by clients and business development, you have the judgment and autonomy of a senior operator, and you are ready to mentor others and grow toward sector leadership. Required • Approximately 8 or more years of experience in business development, account management, or client-facing delivery, with a strong record in the earth and environment market or a closely related field. • Demonstrated success winning and growing work and building client relationships that generate repeat business. • An established network among developers, public agencies, municipalities, or industrial and infrastructure owners in the Ontario environmental market. • Experience leading pursuits and proposals, including win strategy and pricing. • Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of margin, pricing, and the economics of professional-services delivery. • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the presence to engage senior client decision-makers. • The autonomy and judgment of a senior commercial operator, and a genuine commitment to client service and team success. Preferred • A relevant professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., R.P.Bio., QP-ESA, or equivalent) is an asset but not required. • Experience across several environmental sub-markets, such as environmental assessment and permitting, contaminated sites and remediation, compliance and monitoring, or earth-sciences support, within the Ontario regulatory context. • Established relationships with developers, public agencies, and industrial owners in the region. • Experience mentoring or developing junior commercial or client-facing staff. • Experience working collaboratively with First Nations and supporting Indigenous engagement initiatives. • Interest in applying new tools and technologies, including AI-enabled approaches, to business development. Why PRI At PRI, we believe exceptional consulting begins with exceptional people. We empower our commercial team with meaningful ownership of client relationships, strong technical teams behind them, and a clear path to grow. As a Senior Account Manager, you'll find: • Real ownership of significant client relationships, with the autonomy to run them your way. • Strong technical practices behind you, so you can focus on clients and growth. • A clear path toward Sector Vice President for those who want it. • A multidisciplinary firm that lets you bring the full breadth of PRI's capabilities to your clients. • A firm that is actively investing in growth and innovation, including AI-enabled tools and modern ways of working. • Competitive compensation with meaningful performance-based upside, comprehensive benefits, and support for professional development. PRI is a multidisciplinary engineering and natural sciences consulting firm with offices across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, and we particularly encourage applications from Indigenous professionals.
