Finishing Systems Engineering Assistant (8 Month term) The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: Support machine moves, setup, and removal by working with contractors, maintenance, and other teams. Take part in projects that improve safety, environmental sustainability, equipment, and processes. Assist with planning and tracking small improvement projects. Help review and document manufacturing processes. Contribute to lean manufacturing efforts (like 5S, waste reduction, and time studies). Support new equipment selection, setup, and commissioning. Create or update job instructions, training materials, and flow schematics. Assist with shop floor layout changes using 2D CAD tools. Occasionally help with machinery troubleshooting and testing. Occasionally help with optimizing chemical process parameters. Share updates on project progress and challenges. The ideal candidate for this position will have: Enrolled in a Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Biosystems Engineering/Technology program. Comfortable with Microsoft 365 applications/software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Ability to read and create technical drawings Interest in manufacturing, automation, or process improvement. Familiarity with anodizing, metal surface treatment, or other finishing processes (liquid painting, powder coating, etc.) considered an asset Design experience considered an asset Price Industries Limited hires based on merit and is strongly committed to equity and diversity.
