Your Opportunity: Primary Care Alberta (PCA) has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Mobile Clinic that will services the Metis Settlements of Kikino and Buffalo Lake. The mobile clinic, Wâhkôhtowin Mobile Health Clinic (MHC), is a fully equipped van with 2 clinical spaces donated by TELUS Health in partnership with Alberta Health and PCA. In this role you will provide a broad range of LPN services, in this one-of-a-kind facility. Using your critical thinking, clinical judgement and cultural safety and sensitivity training, you will work with the Nurse Practitioner to delivery comprehensive care to meet the needs of each patient. With a wide range of patients, this position will give you the opportunity to grow your skills. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining each patient’s charts and files in addition to assessing walk-in patients. You will work as a team to build a relationship between the MHC and the population of the Metis Settlements from the ground up. In addition to your LPN tasks, you will be responsible for driving the van to the two settlements every day, cleaning, stocking, refueling and transporting the van to any maintenance appointments. This opportunity offers a condensed work week where you will be working 8-10 hour shifts 4 days a week. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, PCA currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and PCA policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of PCA. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Metis Settlements Mobile Health Primary Location: Slave Lake Family Care Clinic Location Details: Eligible to work remotely within Alberta Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 18-SEP-2026 Employee Class: Regular Full Time Date Available: 28-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 9.69 Length of Shift in weeks: 1 Shifts per cycle: 4 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Provided Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Must hold a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications: As Required.

Exigences

Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid registration in Alberta and a current BCLS-HCP certification. A valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License is required to operate the mobile clinic.
