Primary is seeking a Substation Electrical Engineer / Technologist to join our Power Systems Engineering team in Saskatchewan. In this role, you will support the design and delivery of high voltage (HV) and extra high voltage (EHV) substation projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, designers, clients, utilities, contractors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to substation design, power system studies, engineering calculations, technical documentation, equipment selection, project coordination, site visits, and commissioning support. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is collaborative, technically driven, and passionate about delivering innovative solutions for complex utility projects. What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGS (or equivalent), or an Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma with eligibility for registration with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan. Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in electrical utility and/or power systems engineering. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and build lasting client relationships. Demonstrated technical leadership, problem solving, and a commitment to delivering high quality engineering solutions. Class 5 driver's license. Experience with HV/EHV substation design, power system studies, protective relaying, grounding systems, SCADA, ETAP, CYME, or IESO Connection and System Impact Assessments would be considered an asset.
