Process Engineer Location: Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver Type: Permanent Full-time Primero America’s team is currently looking for a Process Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to join our talented team and be part of Primero’s growth and success. Primero is an Australian-founded company, established in 2011 and rapidly growing in Montreal since 2016. We specialize in the design, procurement, and construction management of mineral processing plants. Your mission: As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for process engineering calculations, mass balances, establishing design criteria, development of flow-sheets and P&IDs. You will help with process design and other deliverable required by our clients by providing sound knowledge and understanding of the work methods and techniques applied in the design of processing facilities, outputs for studies and coordination with other disciplines. You will also help with the development and implementation of the metallurgical functions for Primero Americas. This position is reporting to the Process Engineering Manager. Key Responsibilities: Develop process flow diagrams, P&IDs, design criteria, and technical specifications Support equipment selection and process planning Provide strategic guidance to engineering teams and ensure alignment with project objectives Propose metallurgical solutions and plan process modifications Participate in test work management, client requirement analysis, and plant performance follow-up Contribute to internal policy reviews and ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables What We’re Looking For: Process/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering Degree Registered (or candidate for) P. Eng license with the OIQ or equivalent 4 to 8 years’ experience in engineering, operation and/or commissioning works Experience in the mineral processing, metal refining, or related industries; High level of analytical ability used to solve complex problems; Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Effective collaboration with internal teams Solid understanding of HSE principles and applicable codes Flexibility and resourcefulness to manage workload fluctuations Proficient in reading specs, schematics, and engineering drawings Excellent communication skills Committed to delivering quality work on schedule and providing support as needed Position details: 40 hours per week Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada Competitive salary tailored to your skills and experience Full insurance coverage paid by Primero from day one Retirement plan with 5% employer matching Up to 10 Paid sick days per year Casual dress code Coffee available daily to keep you energized Flexible, possibility of hybrid work schedule Apply to: [email protected]

The Process Engineer is responsible for process engineering calculations, mass balances, and the development of flow-sheets and P&IDs. They will also support equipment selection, metallurgical solutions, and the implementation of metallurgical functions for Primero Americas.

Candidates must hold a degree in Process, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering and be a registered P. Eng (or candidate) with the OIQ or equivalent. 4 to 8 years of experience in engineering, operation, or commissioning within the mineral processing or metal refining industries is required.
