Job Overview: COMPANY PROFILE Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services. SUMMARY The Steamfitter-Pipefitter is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work may exist indoors or outdoors depending on the scope and is typically physically demanding. Anticipated Start Date: August 24, 2026 Location: CNRL Horizon Sustaining (CNRL CMS) Shift: 10 day shift followed by a 24 day shift - modified based on project needs. Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary Accommodation: Camp available Hourly Rate: $53.56 Additional Information: 3rd and 4th Year Apprentices may be considered. ($42.85-$48.20/hour) UNION POSITION JOB DUTIES Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints Construct support hangers and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications Utilize pipe bending tools or machines to bend pipe Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks Ensure that holes cut in pipe will not cause structural weakness Connect pipe utilizing threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, or fused joints and hand tools Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders Cut pipe utilizing saws, pipe cutting machines, cutting torch, etc. Secure pipe with brackets, clamps, and hangars Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings May perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Must be an Alberta ticketed journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT) CSTS-09 and/or CSO H2S considered an asset Able to work well in a team environment Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field Organized and self-motivated Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment BENEFITS Prescription Safety Glasses Reimbursement Program Retirement Savings Plan Pension Health and Welfare Life Insurance Dental Plan Prescription Coverage Optical/Vision Insurance Massage Therapy Short Term Disability Long Term Disability Employee and Family Assistance Program Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
