Description What You’ll Do Safely operate and monitor blown-film extrusion equipment to meet production, quality, and efficiency requirements. Follow work orders, production specifications, and established operating procedures, ensuring the correct materials and supplies are available for each job. Perform equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and routine operator maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. Complete in-process quality checks and make adjustments as required to maintain product specifications. Follow all safety, food safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, including hazard assessments, critical control points, and other required procedures. Work closely with experienced operators, maintenance, quality, and other team members to resolve issues and keep production moving. Build your knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, materials, and troubleshooting through hands-on training and coaching. Take an active role in learning new skills and progressing through the extrusion operator career path. Work Schedule This position operates on a 12-hour rotating continental shift schedule , alternating between: Day Shift: 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Night Shift: 5:30 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. Rotation includes scheduled days off, providing a predictable schedule and dedicated time to rest and recharge between shifts. Physical Requirements: This is a hands-on manufacturing role that requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
