Solutions Architect: On behalf of our client in the financial services sector, Procom is searching for a Solutions Architect for a 12-month contract. This position is hybrid in Toronto (4 days per week onsite). Solutions Architect - Job Description: The Solutions Architect will support business-as-usual initiatives and strategic architecture work, helping deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions aligned to enterprise technology standards. This role focuses on solution architecture, architectural governance, and cloud-first design for high-throughput eventing/messaging platforms. Solutions Architect - Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain solution architecture frameworks and designs aligned to enterprise standards, security patterns, and guiding principles. • Evaluate business requirements and recommend optimal architecture options, including target-state roadmaps and executive-level summaries. • Review detailed solution designs for compliance with architecture and security standards; provide architecture/design sign-off as required. • Partner with other architects and security stakeholders to assess risks and confirm secure solution designs. • Provide project-level architecture/design documentation, assessments of options, and architectural governance support. • Contribute to project planning (scope, estimates, documentation) and provide timely escalation of issues and risks. • Participate as a subject matter expert on moderate-to-high risk/complex initiatives; support pre- and post-implementation reviews. • Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices to improve architecture standards, patterns, and frameworks. Solutions Architect - Mandatory Skills: • Azure cloud architecture experience. • Experience designing and tuning high-throughput eventing and/or messaging systems. • Kafka experience (including Confluent Cloud). • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently. Solutions Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills: • Amazon Connect experience. • Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP). Solutions Architect – Assignment Length: This is a 12-month contract (extension possible; conversion possible). Solutions Architect - Start Date: ASAP. Solutions Architect - Assignment Location: Toronto, Ontario, hybrid (4 days per week onsite). The Solutions Architect will develop secure, scalable architecture frameworks and designs aligned with enterprise standards. They will evaluate business requirements, provide design sign-offs, and support high-risk complex initiatives within the financial services sector.

Candidates must have experience with Azure cloud architecture and designing high-throughput messaging systems using Kafka and Confluent Cloud. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are required.
