Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL) is an organization whose mandate is to regulate the practice of engineering and geoscience in the public interest, as outlined in the Engineers and Geoscientists Act (2008) of Newfoundland and Labrador. PEGNL exists so that there will be competent and ethical practice of engineering and geoscience in Newfoundland and Labrador, and to ensure public confidence in, sustainability, and stewardship of the professions.

Company Description Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) regulates the engineering and geoscience professions in the public interest in accordance with the NL Engineers & Geoscientists Act 2008 (Act), NL Engineers & Geoscientists Regulations 2024 (Regulations) and By-Laws. With more than 5,000 individual and 600 corporate members throughout the province, and beyond, PEGNL is accountable to the public through the provincial Department of Government Services to ensure licensed, competent and ethical practice of the professions.
