Open Source CAD Research - Aerospace Engineers - AI Training - Up to $120/h About Prolific Prolific is not just another player in the AI space – we are building the biggest pool of quality human data in the world. The Opportunity This is a task based AI Training job that allows workers to choose their schedule and how much they work - there's no fixed schedule and no minimum hours requirement. We are seeking Aerospace Engineers to join our expert network. This project supports the development of next-generation AI models by capturing how experienced engineers approach real-world CAD design challenges and validation workflows. Joining our talent pool for this project also opens the door to similar paid projects in future. Everything is fully remote and ad hoc, on a freelance basis, with full control over which projects you accept. Payments are made via PayPal. Once you have joined the talent pool, you will be asked to complete a short screener (around 10 minutes, compensated at $12/h), and if selected for the project will be asked to take part in tasks of various complexities paying up to $120/ hour. What you’ll bring Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field Strong proficiency with open-source CAD software (e.g., FreeCAD, KiCad, or similar) Comfortable using Linux and/or Windows environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail A reliable internet connection and access to a computer Other Skills (useful but not mandatory) Python development experience with the ability to write and execute scripts independently Experience writing validation scripts (not just using pre-built tools) Comfortable working from the command line Tasks Design physical objects suitable for 3D printing using open-source CAD software. Complete engineering design tasks while your workflow, including tool usage, clicks, and design decisions, is captured to help train AI models on engineering problem-solving. Write and execute Python validation scripts to support your design workflow.
