Apprentice Pipefitter (Night Shift)

We are currently seeking Apprentice Pipefitters to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. Propak offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a company matched group RRSP. Key Responsibilities: * Lays out, assembles, fabricates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems * Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements * Selects type and size of pipe required * Measures, cuts, and threads pipe to required dimensions using hand and power tools * Tack, welds and threads joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system * Installs supports, valves, piping, and control systems * Tests system for leaks using testing equipment * Cleans and maintains pipe units and fittings and flush systems * Removes and replaces worn components and reactivates systems * Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion. * Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program. Qualifications: * Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or * Be a registered apprentice. * Motivated and willing to learn. * As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
