Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Crane Operator / Class 1 Driver to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB. This is a night shift, 5:00pm-3:00am M-T Propak also offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a company matched group RRSP. Key Responsibilities: • Operate cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. • Drive the crane to the job site. • Rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation). • Set up the machine for the lift (make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials. • Booms (including telescoping booms and articulating booms possessing live lines) capable of swinging, hoisting and booming up and down with a lifting capacity of greater than 5 tons (4.5 tonnes) and less than 45 tons (40.8 tons). • Service and operate travelling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib. • Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting. • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes. • Complete daily material transfers between the separate Propak locations as required by the 404 Yard • Operate equipment at any of the Propak locations based on work load and requirements • Ensure all internal BOL’s are delivered, signed for and accurately completed • Work closely with Administrative staff to ensure transfers and completed in a timely manner • Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator • Independence / Supervision Received: Introductory • Load, haul, and deliver materials such as pipe and heavy equipment • Apply tire chains when required, as per DFI’s safe work procedures • Maintain a legal driver's logbook Geo tab Qualifications: • Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate, or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document. • Alberta Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract is required • Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred. • 1-2 years of directly related work experience. • As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement. Exigences

Requires a valid Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate and a Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean abstract. Candidates should have 1-2 years of directly related experience and be comfortable working night shifts.
