Job Code: 26523 Status: Part Time Location: Providence Care Hospital Union: OPSEU 4104 Service Clerical Wage: $31.45 - $32.78 Posting Period: August 25, 2026 - September 3, 2026 The Unit Aide assists and supports patients/clients in meeting their behavioral, emotional, spiritual and physical needs. As a member of the inter-professional team, the Unit Aide provides assistance with activities of daily living to patients/clients and assists the inter-professional health care members of the team in providing a safe and well-maintained environment for patients/clients, staff and visitors. Skills And Qualifications Required Completion of Secondary School Diploma or equivalent Successful completion of a Personal Support Worker Diploma/Certificate Program from an accredited educational institution, at minimum Registration with the Registry of Personal Support Workers, preferred One year experience in a hospital/healthcare setting in a patient/client care support position, preferred Experience working with geriatric, palliative and rehabilitation population, preferred UFIRST / PIECES/ GPA Training, preferred Position Responsibilities Provides assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including: bathing, toileting, showering, feeding, hair care, mouth care including dentures, shaving patients/clients, dressing and undressing, when designated and supervised by a regulated health care professional Uses proper body mechanics and proper transfer techniques as indicated on the Bedside Assessment Participates with inter-professional team members in exchanging information, contributes to care plans, follows programs and ensures optimum levels of health, safety and comfort for patients/clients.
