Salary The salary range for this position is CAD $35.36/Hr. - CAD $50.83/Hr. Job Accuracy Posting Flag The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. **Testing may be required. ***A criminal record check may be required Summary Reporting to the Manager, Mission Integration & Volunteer Resources, the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources: organizes, coordinates and implements the volunteer program for Providence Health Care works closely with staff, volunteers, families and community partners to support meaningful volunteer opportunities ensures volunteer programs align with PHC’s Mission, Vision, Values and Mission:Forward Strategic Plan collaborates with the broader Volunteer Resources team to build, develop and enhance volunteer programs promotes a safe environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, volunteers and staff What You Bring Education: Undergraduate degree in a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of experience coordinating volunteer resources, preferably in a health care setting. Certificate in Volunteer Management, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the organization. Familiarity with Better Impact is considered an asset. Skills and Abilities: Informed and competent understanding of the Mission, Vision, Values and ethical framework of Providence Health Care. Personal experience as a volunteer. Interest and experience working with a varied client population, including seniors and individuals who are vulnerable or marginalized. Ability to engage effectively and courteously with residents, patients, volunteers, the public and staff. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Effective presentation and public speaking skills. Ability to operate related equipment and software programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and graphic design software. Strong and consistent accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Sound decision-making skills, active listening skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to encourage and motivate others. Your Day to Day: Develops and implements the volunteer program at assigned site(s) to meet the needs of residents and patients.Recruits volunteers on an ongoing basis, targeting specific audiences for required positions. Works closely with program leaders to understand volunteer needs, develop volunteer roles, and promote the Volunteer Resources program internally. Interviews and screens volunteer applicants in a timely and professional manner. Provides comprehensive orientation and ongoing training for new and existing volunteers. Supervises, supports, monitors and recognizes volunteers, and contributes to the development of volunteer recognition initiatives. Evaluates the overall volunteer program and individual volunteer performance. Supports site Gift Shops and Auxiliary/Guild volunteer activities, as applicable. Maintains community connections, professional memberships, and relationships with Volunteer Centres and related organizations. Prepares quarterly statistical and activity reports for the Manager, Mission Integration & Volunteer Resources. Participates on multidisciplinary teams, councils and program-related task groups across sites, as appropriate. Pursues professional development and stays current with trends in Volunteer Management. Promotes a positive community profile for Providence Health Care and Volunteer Resources, and liaises with community agencies. Exigences

Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in volunteer resource coordination, preferably within a healthcare setting. A certificate in Volunteer Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is also required.
