Unpaid break) - 40 hours/week Pay Rate: $30.25/hour Location: 1365 California Ave, Brockville, ON Description Location: Brockville, ON Shift: Monday to Friday: 5:15pm to 2:15am (1hr. Unpaid break) - 40 hours/week (Brockville to Montreal and return) Pay-rate: $30.25 per hour The Linehaul Driver drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt, trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements. Job requires working in shifts.Responsibilities Drive to/from customer locations Safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations Scans freight upon pickup and delivery Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer) Experience Class AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record3 years of Class AZ driving experience Skills GPS TrackingMental Efforts Mental Efforts-Concentration on precision workMental Efforts-Long periods of drivingMental Efforts-Exposure to Confrontational SituationsMental Efforts-Problem solvingLanguage Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders.
