Description The Licensed Tradesperson maintains, diagnoses, tests, and repairs the material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g., conveyors, gear boxes rollers, drive unit, hydraulic and pneumatics systems, etc.) to ensure equipment is operating with minimal downtime in compliance with health and safety standards. Shift: Tuesday to Saturday: 7:30am - 4:00pm, 30 mins unpaid break 40 hrs per week Location: 3700 Jericho Road, Richmond BC. Responsibilities Conduct regular preventative / predictive maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g., conveyors, gear boxes rollers, drive unit, hydraulic and pneumatics systems, etc.) to maintain equipment in a good state of repair in compliance with health and safety standards Diagnose and repair Material Handling Equipment mechanical or electrical failures to ensure equipment is operating with minimal downtime to reduce downstream impact to service delivery Inspect and monitor Material Handling Equipment and related facilities Prepare and maintain reports (e.g., safety, operational) Coordinate and document work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Additional Responsibilities Education Completion of Specialized Courses Normally Taught in Community or Recognized Specialty Colleges Consisting of About Three Academic Years For electrician roles, a Licensed Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) is required For millwright roles, a Licensed Industrial Millwright Certificate (433A) is required Experience 5 years of experience either as an electrician or millwright that installs, maintains, diagnoses, or repairs Material Handling Equipment. Must have a valid Class 5 B.C. license Must have no more than four (4) points on a valid Class 5 B.C. drivers license (abstract required) Must successfully pass the Defensive Driving course Skills Preventative Maintenance Parts Knowledge Equipment Installation Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs. Exigences

Candidates must hold a Licensed Industrial Millwright Certificate (433A) and have 5 years of experience with material handling equipment. A valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license with a clean abstract and completion of a defensive driving course are also required.
