Your role will include, but isn’t limited to: Assuming a professional role within our client-facing engagement teams Supporting the development of the audit approach and completing planning procedures Providing coaching and feedback to junior engagement team members Reviewing financial and accounting records, other documentation, and physical assets such as inventory, property, plant and equipment, or observing the execution of specific processes and procedures Performing a range of inquiries, from formal written inquiries to informal verbal discussions, with various individuals within our client organizations Testing the client organization's internal controls Evaluating significant estimates, judgments, and assumptions made by management Reviewing and testing the financial statements and supporting information Leverage leading-edge digital tools and audit technologies to analyze data, identify risks, and generate meaningful insights that support the quality and efficiency of audit engagements Performing completion procedures to support the issuance of the audit report What You'll Bring Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for: Demonstrated progressive experience at the Senior Associate level working with a broad range of external audit clients within a professional services firm Qualified Canadian CPA or an equivalent recognized/reciprocal accounting designation, or have passed the CFE and are in final stages of completion Excellent understanding of Canadian auditing standards. Understanding of U.S. auditing standards and/or the PCAOB will also be considered Knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is considered an asset In-depth technical skills and experience regarding applicable financial reporting and auditing standards Experience in designing risk-based and materiality-based engagement procedures Previous experience in leading and managing engagement teams Experience in project management Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment A demonstrated curiosity and an interest in the technologies and digital tools used in modern auditing. Experience with audit technologies, data analytics tools, or automation solutions is an asset Successful candidates, in addition to fluency in French, must have full professional proficiency in English in order to support and collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues, and/or various stakeholders as part of their employment at PwC Canada This newly created role reflects our commitment to growth and delivering distinctive value for our clients and stakeholders. The salary range for this position is $52,200 - $87,000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
