Senior Solutions Architect

Title: Senior Solutions Architect Location: Toronto - Financial District - Hybrid Duration: Permanent Full-time Must Haves Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of banking and financial services technology landscapes. Ability to bridge business strategy and technology architecture while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience Senior experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or technology consulting roles. Experience designing and implementing enterprise SaaS solutions. Experience working within banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments. Experience leading customer-facing architecture engagements from presales through implementation. Experience designing and integrating complex distributed systems across multiple platforms. Experience working with cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns. Technical Skills Strong understanding of banking architecture, including core banking systems, modernization initiatives, pricing and billing platforms, and customer channels. Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems. Experience working with Java and Springboot Experience with Python, Postgres db and NoSQL Experience with argoCD, nifi, flink and Temporal Experience with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks. Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices. Understanding of data architecture, enterprise integration, and interoperability across complex ecosystems. Knowledge of security, identity management, encryption, and regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001. Ability to produce clear architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation. Soft Skills Strategic Problem Solving: Designs innovative solutions that align technology investments with business outcomes. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Effectively translates complex technical concepts into business value and influences decision-making at all levels. Collaboration & Leadership: Builds strong relationships across customers, partners, product, engineering, and implementation teams. Decision-Making Under Uncertainty: Makes sound architectural decisions while balancing risk, cost, scalability, and time-to-value. Customer Focus: Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering measurable customer outcomes and business value.

The role involves designing and implementing scalable enterprise SaaS solutions and complex distributed systems within the banking and financial services sector. The architect will bridge business strategy and technology, leading customer-facing engagements from presales through to implementation.

Candidates must have a degree in Computer Science or a related field and extensive experience in solution architecture within large enterprise or financial environments. Proficiency in Java, Springboot, Python, and cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker is required.
